Abstract

Every individual has different characteristics and preferences that make them unique and distinct from one another. These are the individual differences that correspond to various personality types. An individual’s personality is shown through the preferences he/she has. This study aimed to determine the possible relationship between personality types and footwear preferences. The study was conducted at the University of Saint Louis (USL) and focused more on Louisiana women whose age range is from 17 to 19 years old. Utilizing Slovin’s Formula, the study accommodated 235 respondents and was picked randomly from their department. To differentiate the respondents in terms of personality: Dr. Phil’s Personality test was used and its association to DISC personality was administered to measure the personality types of women and was linked to their footwear preferences. The study found no significant difference in the personality types and footwear preferences of women.
