The impact of household solar power is that it can add to the reliable electricity services provided that, as long as additional operation is not uneconomical, it continues to operate. This paper focuses on exploring the relationships between solar power adoption, perceived policy support, perceived financial sustainability and perceived energy security in Bangladesh. The analysis is based on the reported partial least squares structural equation modelling results of 470 households using solar electricity. Four reflective constructs comprise twenty indicators. Measurement assessment shows that there is satisfactory internal consistency, convergent, and discriminant validity. The perceived financial sustainability and perceived energy security have a positive relationship with solar power adoption. Perceived support of the policy also has positive relations with both outcomes. The highest direct coefficient of the predictors of perceived energy security belongs to financial sustainability. The exact indirect coefficients are 0.118 which is the adoption of solar power and 0.071 which is the perceived policy support which has the bootstrap confidence intervals not equal to zero. The two directions indicate complementary statistical mediation. The model accounts 21.4% variation in financial sustainability and 31.6 % in energy security. The predictive assessment yields positive predictive relevance values of all endogenous indicators, but the gains are small over linear model benchmarks. The results endorse focusing on the persistence of affordability and home solar implementation and institutional helping. The cross-sectional perceptions cannot build causal impacts and gains of national energy security. The provenance of fieldwork has not been well documented in order to be independently verified.
