The value of enterprise analytics has become a strategic necessity for today’s organizations, but the perception of business value is conceptually scattered and ethically debatable. The critical juncture between value measurement systems and ethical governance practices in enterprise analytics is explored through a comparison of purely financial return-on-investment (ROI) value frameworks and multi-stakeholder value frameworks, examining how they shape organizational decision-making and ethical outcomes. The study’s conceptual reconciliation process is grounded in a literature review of four key theories stakeholder theory, algorithmic fairness, integrated reporting, and data governance and identifies four fundamental ethical tensions: (1) shareholder primacy versus broader stakeholder equity; (2) short-term financial metrics versus long-term sustainability value; (3) algorithmic fairness versus analytical efficiency; and (4) opacity of data-driven decisions versus transparency obligations. The paper proposes a multi-dimensional value architecture combining financial performance indicators, environmental, social and governance (ESG) indicators, stakeholder participation mechanisms, and ethical audit procedures. The analysis suggests that organizations implementing stakeholder-inclusive analytics frameworks realize greater trust, innovation potential, and long-term resilience than those relying on financial ROI logic alone. The proposed framework is theoretically significant in extending stakeholder theory to the analytics domain, and practically significant in offering governance tools for reconciling conflicting value claims without compromising stakeholder rights or fairness. Policy implications for corporate governance boards and analytics practitioners are discussed.
