Abstract

This study constructs a decision-making model to identify the key obstacles preventing the adoption of Circular Supply Chain Management (CSCM) in Bangladesh’s textile sector and rank them. Based on the systematic literature review and technical assessments, six synthesized barriers were evaluated using a hybrid Interval-Valued Type-2 Intuitionistic Fuzzy TOPSIS (IVT2IF-TOPSIS) model, which provides a rigorous treatment of uncertainty in expert estimates. As can be seen, financial constraints and the problem of economic viability are the most significant obstacles, and other factors to be considered are limited knowledge, awareness, and preparation to be motivated. The technological and infrastructural differences and the lack of organizational capability become the secondary barriers, and regulatory and stakeholder-based limitations have relatively less acuity. This Prioritized CSCM barriers guide the industry toward faster circularity.
